The Softball Falcons had a great opening weekend by sweeping North Arkansas and splitting with Southwest Tennessee CC. ECC played split double headers against the two teams and dropped their first game of the season to SWTCC by a score of 11-3.

After the loss, the Falcons took flight and knocked the ball out of the park with hit after hit..  Taylor Hanger (Pacific HS) was the winning pitcher against North Arkansas  6-3 in the first game and the second game against SWTCC with an 8-6 victory. Ashley Damazyn (Crystal City HS) was hot at the plate as she went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI in the North Arkansas game.

Morgan Green (Festus HS) Green went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBI. Green also notched her first college win in the second game against North Arkansas with a 13-6 score line. She also helped herself by going 2 for 4 with 4 RBI.

 

The home opener for softball will be Tuesday, March 1 at 2:00PM against Lewis & Clark Community College.
