A double header sweep of Rock Valley was highlighted with good pitching and some timely hitting as the ECC Baseball Falcons (7-6) jumped above the .500 mark for the first time this season with wins of 3-2 and 6-5.

The Rock Valley Golden Eagles faced ECC starter Shane Kearbey in his best form of the season. Kearbey went the distance for the Falcons striking out five batters and only allowing five hits in the speedy contest going 7 innings in only 1 hour and 5 minutes.  DeVon Jennings got the offense started as he scorched a line drive solo home run over the fence in the second inning.

Error free baseball made the game tough on the Golden Eagles who out hit the Falcons, but only could put two runs in the fourth inning.

The second game had ECC trailing the almost most of the game until the bottom of the seventh inning. Down 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Falcons clawed their way back into the game with a few hits and a few walks to tie the game 5-5. After getting runners on base in the bottom of the 7th inning, Trey Orman knocked a ball down the 1st base line for the game winning walk-off RBI. Tyson Dent had 2 hits and 1 RBI leading the team from the plate. Cameron Leach scored twice and had 2 RBI after reaching base on hit and a hit by a pitch.

Will DesHotels, Levi Betts and Zach Stenger all pitched for the Falcons and Stenger recorded the win with the comeback victory. DesHotels had three strikeouts and Stenger was able to pitch to contact to get the opposition to hit into a few easy outs.
