The Falcons (13-17) were able to take one game of a double header against region rival North Central by a score of 4-0 and dropped the second one 9-8 in the 8th inning.

As the Falcons took to the field for this highly anticipated match up with the Pirates in the first game, ECC made a statement defensively behind the pitching of Hudson Stark. Stark only allowed one hit and struck out 11 batters over a full six innings for the Falcons as they shutout North Central. Trey Orman came in relief for the 7th inning to get the save. The Falcons fielding was impeccable as they didn’t commit one error throughout the contest.

Seth Shannon continued his hitting streak as he hit a three-run homer in the first inning. Shannon’s three-run homer proved to be the game winning RBI for the third straight game in a row. Luciano Terilli and Patrick Dale joined the hit parade recording two hits on the day along with Shannon.

The second game had ECC fall 9-8 in eight innings. Despite a 4-0 first run deficit, the Falcons clawed their way back to take an 8-4 lead. Trevor Packan, Grant Beck, Austin McKim and Luciano Terrrili all drove in runs for the Falcons in the comeback.

Will DesHotels started for the Falcons and Logan Baker and Shane Kearbey came in to finish the game.
