The Falcons (5-3) were able to return home with two victories in a very competitive Lincoln Land Tournament. On the first day of the tournament, ECC went 2-0, first by taking down Kankakee in three sets 25-18, 25-15, 25-12. Another good match came in the later stages of the evening as ECC was able to knock off Spoon River Community College in four sets by scores of 21-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-22 in a first ever matchups between the two schools. The Falcons were flying high behind the offensive play of Allison Tonioli in both matches. She recorded 10 kills in the Kankakee match and 14 kills in the Spoon river match.

Solid play on the defensive side came from a trio of sophomores as Mariah Vahlkamp joined the Roper twins, Kaley and Nicole, in keeping the ball off the back court with double digit digs in both wins. The three sophomores are able to keep the team in almost any match with their strong defensive play.
