The East Central College Falcons were able to strike quick to knock off the Missouri Baptist University JV Spartans by a score of 3-0. Magnus Andersen wasted no time as he intercepted a pass from the opposition 31 seconds into the game and chipped a ball over the goalkeeper’s head for what proved to be the game winner. The Falcons controlled most of the match with good ball possession and had multiple scoring opportunities. ECC didn’t waste much time scoring a second goal as Joel Konteh lifted a cross to Billy Thompson who headed the ball to the back post for his first collegiate goal.

The second half began a lot like the first half as Andersen assisted Thompson’s second goal one minute into the beginning of the half. The Falcons outshot MBU 14-1 in the match and nearly missed a few opportunities. Thompson was robbed on another headball and a penalty kick by the MBU keeper. Nick Tosovksy-Heinemeier took a long range shot nailing the post in the second half as well.
