The NJCAA #20 East Central College Falcons (6-2) improved their conference record to 4-0 with a 3-2 victory over the State Fair Community College Roadrunners. ECC didn’t waste any time by striking first as Joe McInnes netted the first goal on an assist from Miguel Gonzalez in the first minute of the game. Another goal put the Falcons up 2-0 before halftime. Tanner Graef flicked on a cross with his head and Sam Gentges headed the ball into the upper left corner of the net for his first collegiate goal.

ECC was in control of the game throughout the first half and then answered again with another Joe McInnes goal. Blake Little got credit for the assist as he fed McInnes a nice pass to set up the finish. Leading 3-0,  the game got a little chippie with numerous fouls on both teams, then State Fair started a comeback that was thwarted as ECC prevailed 3-2. This was a conference match -up and kept ECC at the top of the table from a conference perspective with two matches remaining.
