The NJCAA #20 ranked ECC Falcons were able to split a high scoring, double header with the Mineral Area College Cardinals. It was a big hit day for both teams and the Falcons jumped out to an early 7-1 lead in the first game, but fell short 12-11. Megan Micke collected two home runs and 5 RBI in the effort to hang on. Eden Henry and Ashley Blanton also launched balls over the fences.
The second game had a lot of hits and runs as well, but this time the Falcons were the more fortunate in the run column with 10-8 win. Megan Micke sent another one over the fence and collected 3 RBI on a back to back 4 for 5 showing at the plate in the double header. Jensen Crenshaw had 4 hits and 3 RBI. Monica Kelley registered two RBI in the game. Ashley Miller went the distance pitching for the Falcons and got the victory.
