The East Central College Soccer Falcons (5-5-3) battled deep into overtime and couldn’t find the one goal needed to gain the victory over State Fair Community College. It was a tight game with the possession going in favor of the Falcons. State Fair had 6 shots to the Falcons 5. It was a battle of good defense and goalkeeping that kept two sides from scoring. Flavio Santi Jr. recorded his first shutout of the season and came up with some big saves.

One of the best scoring chances for the Falcons came late in the game in the first overtime when Leo Sowa broke into the box after the center off and beat two defenders to lay a ball off to Dashaun Morris. The Falcons kept knocking on the door, but couldn’t get the one placed shot off against State Fair.

The Falcons played a man down in the second overtime and gave it a galant effort to muster more scoring opportunities, but just fell short.
