The East Central College Falcons took down the NJCAA Preseason #8 Parkland College Cobras by a score of 1-0 at home in the ECC Labor Day Falcon Classic. The team played well from start to finish with Lewis Brass keeping the team in the game making nine saves in the net and earned the team’s second shutout of the season. Magnus Andersen converted a penalty kick in the 47th minute after Alex Stojov was taken down in the box early in the second half. The goal was Andersen’s third goal in as many games on the season. The Falcons hung on with a gallant defensive effort as the Cobras started to pour on the attack late in the game. Coach Grimes was pleased with the team effort, but wants to see more out his team offensively in upcoming matches.
