The East Central College Softball Falcons finished the season 23-22 after being eliminated from the Region 16 Softball Tournament in Nevada, MO. The Falcons made a strong charge in the first game by knocking of defending champions Mineral Area College by a score of 6-4, but didn’t have the offensive fire power in the next two games. The Falcons fell to Cottey College 3-1 and St. Louis Community College 2-0 in tightly contested games to end their season.
Coach Wallach and the team will be able to reflect on some of the team highlights during the summer months. This was the 5th year in a row the Falcons finished with a winning record. The rollercoaster season had extreme high and lows, but in the end the Falcons gave their best effort in trying to reach their team goals.
