ECC Volleyball (11-15) dropped a tight match against Metropolitan Community College Kansas City by a score line of 21-25, 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 15-17. The last set of the match was a nail biter with the Falcons just coming up short.

Allison Tonioli was swinging very well as she tallied up 20 kills in the match to lead ECC offensively. Mariah Vahlkamp and Grace Struttmann had 15 and 12 kills respectively, but it just wasn’t quite enough to end the match in the favor of the Falcons. A big momentum swing came as ECC took the second and third set. Going deep into the match tiebreaker Luzyanne Calderon-Melendez was able to put together some great serves to keep ECC close.

ECC will face St. Louis Community College in the first round of the NJCAA Region 16 DII Tournament at St. Louis Community College-Meramec in Kirkwood, Missouri on Friday November 1 at 6:00PM.
