A tri-match with John Wood Community College and Mineral Area College will go down in history as a collective group of being the only three volleyball matches played at East Central College in the year 2020. Unpredictable, crazy and down right not normal are a few descriptors to describe this year in athletics for the Falcons. The ECC volleyball squad for 2020-21 answered a few questions to simmer the uncertainty with a great offensive performance on the court this past Saturday. ECC took some time to warm-up while playing the John Wood Community College Trailblazers and went five sets 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 16-25 & 15-11 in favor of the Falcons.
After getting a feel for their new freshmen setters, the sophomore Falcons were able to get into a groove and split sets with Mineral Area. Only playing four sets as the day was getting long, ECC took the first and third sets and made a statement playing against the always dominant Mineral Area College Cardinals with hard swinging kills. The score line in the sets were 25-22, 12-25, 25-23 & 26-28.
