The Falcons (4-7) were able to knock off NJCAA DII #12 St. Louis Community College with a big home victory by a score of 2-1. ECC came into the game with confidence after beating Parkland College 4-0 earlier in the week. Coach Joe Benninger decided to ride the hot hand with starting Mario Pereira in goal and it provided the needed spark to keep the Falcons in the match. In a matter of 10 seconds, Pereira saved three point blank shots by tipping an intial shot off the crossbar and saving two quick rebounding shots from five feet away.

Miguel Gonzalez opened the scoring in the match after a scoreless first half in the 65th minute as he put away a Jack Ridley slotted pass to make the score 1-0. After the first goal, the ECC offense started to gel and Jacob Sauvage had a great chance on a breakaway to score , but smashed a shot off the post.

The Falcons held firm until the 80th minute when a breakdown occurred in the backfield to let the Archers get an easy shot on goal and tie the game 1-1. Then with 4 minutes remaining in the match Joao Pedro Louzada took a free kick from 22 yards and the hit the bottom of the crossbar as the ball found the net for the eventual game winner 2-1
