The ECC Falcons (14-10) battled for almost every point in the tri-match held at Frontier Community College in Fairfield, IL. It was a quick turn around with matches coming off a big, region three set sweep of Metropolitan Community College Kansas City on Saturday and then playing a Monday afternoon tri-match against the Frontier Community College Bobcats and the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers.
It is almost an understatement to say the Falcons went the distance as each match used almost every possible point to determine a 5th set winner. The first match against Frontier Community College saw the Falcons come out on top 25-22, 23-25, 24-26, 25-23, 15-13.
Another nail biter match to the end was against Northwest Mississippi CC with a score line of 22-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17, 14-16 as the Falcons fell in a the 5th set in extra points. Using all of their energy, the Falcons were able to make the trip worth it.
The Falcons are playing some of their best volleyball of the season heading into the last weeks of the regular season tuning up for the post season.
