The East Central College Softball Falcons (9-11) were able to heat up their bats with good weather to sweep the Central Methodist University Eagle Reserves 8-0 and 5-0. The annual “Stuff the Stands” event was a success with the weather, fan turn out and two wins.

A big first game at the plate for Alexa Smalling had her elevate two shots over the fence for home runs. Smalling went 3 for 3 with the 2 home runs, a double and four RBI in the first game. Mya Hillermann added to the hit parade going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.  Taylor Hanger recorded the shutout victory for the Falcons going six innings.

The second game on the slate went similar to the first with Kylie McDaniel recording the win pitching for the Falcons in the 5-0 shutout. Payton Robinson knocked the ball around the park going 3 for 3 with a triple. Taylor Hanger produced on the offensive side of the ball with a big two RBI homer in the 3rd inning making the game 3-0 in favor of the Falcons. Another big day at the plat in the second game, Nicole Truitt, went 2-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
