The East Central College Falcon volleyball team, now 10-3 on the season, used all able bodied team members to pull out a straight set victory over the Lewis and Clark Community College Trailblazers by a score line of 25-15, 25-23, 25-15. A couple of impressive performances on the offensive side came from Macey Morehead (12 kills) and Makayla Case (7 kills). Case, a freshman from St. James, MO, was able to gain confidence in one of her best performances at the net. She also had a spectacular serving run with 7 straight points to seal the third game victory in which she collected 6 service aces.

As the Falcons get their wings underneath them, the defense continues to thrive. Trinity Clark ( 21 digs) and Isabella Allgeyer ( 17 digs) keep the Falcons in every match with their great backcourt defense. A strong point for Coach Mathes-Peters’ teams over the years has been the defensive game, but with a combined offensive game, the Falcons are flying high heading into region play this week. ECC will face St. Louis Community College in their next match away at the Meramec campus in Kirkwood, MO.
