As the Falcons (2-2-1) have made their way through the first third of the season, there has been one thing missing, goals. This change of fortune happened against MCCKC in the second half in a big way with a 10-2 victory. A hard fought first half had ECC up 3-0 on a early hat trick from Arman Kovac. He netted one in the 15th and 17th minute. He then answered again by drawing a penalty kick in the 18th minute converting the penalty kick for his first collegiate hat trick. But it wasn’t over. Right at the end of the first half the Wolves scored on ECC to make it 3-1 with a minute remaining before halftime.

ECC was hungry coming out of the halftime and 30 seconds into the half, Dashaun Morris played a pretty cross into the box and Stephen Akot slammed it home with a head ball. The goal set the tone for the second half as ECC dictated the play. Arman Kovac struck again in the 51st minute to make it 5-1 and the rout was on. ECC kept attacking and more goals came from Leo Sowa, Stephen Akot, Dashaun Morris and Donald Meyer. Kovac ended his scoring with a career high five goals in the match.

The back four played extremely well. Gary Dunne, Donald Meyer, Guy Baskerville and Liam Durran held out the opposition most of the game as Flavio Santi and Riley Nagle only let one goal in each.

The Falcons will have a tough test coming up next on the slate as they face Jefferson College next Wednesday in Hillsboro, MO.
