After a hurdle in their second double header where the Falcons dropped two games to Southwestern Illinois College, the Falcons (3-3) rebounded with some better play against the Mineral Area Cardinals. ECC dropped the first game 7-4 and rebounded with 7-6 win in the second game. The victory was paced behind the pitching of Madelyn Webb who went six innings only allowing three earned runs. It was Madelyn Webb’s first victory of the season and a much needed Region 16 and MCCAC Conference win for the Falcons.

Offensively, Marissa Boyd had three hits, two of which were doubles, in the game to pace the Falcons to victory. Mallory Feldewerth had two hits and collected two RBI. Other players collecting at least one hit and one RBI were Seeley Friend, Katie Gaus and Alyssa Moore. Coach Wallach is hoping the team will fall into a good groove as the team relaxes and approach each game with confidence.
