The East Central College Falcons (7-1), ranked #20 in the most recent NJCAA DII Softball poll, suffered their first loss of the season in extra innings to the hands of the St. Charles Community College Cougars by a score of 8-6. ECC was down 4-0 after four innings and then supplied excitement to score five runs to send the game into extra innings with the game tied 5-5.  ECC took an early lead in the top of the 8th inning 6-5 and then the Cougars ended the contest with a 3-run walk-off homerun.

The Falcons woke up in the second game of the double header behind the pitching of Abby Ray. ECC decided to start hitting early and often. Sophomore Jensen Crenshaw led the team with three hits in the second game with two of them being doubles. Samantha White, Megan Micke and Seeley Friend collected two hits each as the Falcons stormed to an 11-0 win. Abby Ray improved her record to 4-0 on the season with five strikeouts.
