The East Central College Falcons (17-11) were able to take down the St. Louis Community College Archers in straight sets with a good all around performance on the court. Despite trailing in the first and third set, the Falcons were able to keep the ball out of the their backcourt and reduce errors to prevail over STLCC by a score line of 25-15, 25-23, 25-22 on sophomore night in Kirkwood, MO.

Makayla Case and Brenna Moore were swinging well as the duo recorded 9 and 7 kills respectively. The Falcons found the holes in the Archer defense throughout the match and kept on swinging to nail down the victory in come from behind fashion. Adding to the offensive side with helpers were Bree Zimmermann with 14 assists and Bella Allgeyer 11 assists.

As the Falcons look to fine tune their game, the defensive side of the court still looks solid. Trinity
Clark recorded 25 digs and Emily McKinney put up 16 digs with a 6 kills.

ECC wraps up the regular season with two matches against Southwestern Illinois College and Greenville University JV on Saturday before heading into post season play next Saturday, Oct. 29 at St. Louis in the NJCAA Region 16 Tournament. The Falcons have their sights set on making this year a “Three-Peat” with region championships.
