The weather was perfect for the Falcons (4-5-1) to sweep the Central Methodist University JV Eagles in a home, double header. ECC was not firing on all cylinders due to a few nagging injuries forcing Coach Wallach to make several adjustments in the lineup. Coming from behind after trailing 2-0 through two innings, the Falcons made their statement in the 3rd inning as they started a comeback. Kailie Edler and Kelly Ferguson added RBI hits to elevate the Falcons to a 4-2 score after three innings. Madison Greco hit the first of her two home runs on the day as she launched a two-run bomb in the fourth inning for ECC to take a 6-2 lead. The Eagles made their own charge to bring the game closer, but the Falcons added two runs in the fifth inning to hold on for an 8-6 victory.

A second game had ECC in charge most of the way, but it was a close finish as Eva Dawson pitched well, but the defense just wasn’t making plays to separate the teams. Madison Greco hit her second homer on the day for a solo shot to make the score 6-5 to break a 5-5 tie. Also, in the fifth inning, Jenna Crider drove in the eventual game winning RBI to make the score 7-5.  CMU added another run and to make it 7-6 and then the game was getting tight with runners on base in the top of the seventh inning. Eva Dawson struck out the last batter to end the game and preserve the 7-6 win for the Falcons.
