When it comes to wins, it is always great when they come in bunches. ECC Softball (15-17) now possess a winning streak of 4 in a row and it sure makes it fun to be a Falcon. The Falcons were able to tame the Missouri State University- West Plains Grizzlies with a 4-3 walk-off win and 8-0 run rule win.

The first game had the Falcons clawing their way back into the game after surrendering a 3-0 lead. The Falcons scored one early and two later in the game to tie the score at 3-3. Kylie McDaniel and Ryan Stutzman combined pitching efforts in the first game to come up with the “W”.  Stutzman was credited with the victory not allowing any runs.

Peyton Robinson went 2 for 2 and Nicole Truitt went 2 for 4 leading the offense in the first game. The heroics in the game came with a runner on third and Lexi Lewis nailing a shot to second base. Lewis was able to leg out any attempt of a throw to first and the Falcons won in walk-off fashion.

The second game was all offense from the Falcons who finished the game in 5 innings 8-0. Taylor Hanger pitched and hit well in the contest, not giving up a run and smashing the ball to all parts of the park. Nicole Truitt, Sierra Spencer and Taylor Hanger put up two hits each. Payton Robinson had a big day at the plate knocking in runners and ending the game in sort of walk-off fashion with a run rule in the fifth inning.
