The ECC Softball Falcons (13-17) had Coach Brad Wallach ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ despite his need for hip replacement surgery after the season with a sweep of the Mineral Area College Cardinals by scores of 10-8 and 8-4.

The Falcons were ripping the cover off the ball and were led in the first game by Mya Hillermann who went 4 for 4 with 3 runs batted in. She had a home run and collected two stolen bases. Nicole Truitt joined in the party and went 3 for 5. Both Lexi Lewis and Alexa Smalling went 2 for 4 in the first game.

The winning pitcher Taylor Hanger helped her own cause, by belting a two-run homer as well. She didn’t stop there with her performance in the next game. Hanger put an exclamation point on the second game by hitting two home runs and recording another win pitching. Hillerman went 3 for 4 with a home run and Truitt kept hitting as well going 3 for 4 with a double, triple and two runs batted in.

Oh, what a feeling, when we’re dancing on the ceiling!! (Lionel Ritchie, 1986).
