The East Central College Softball Falcons (3-1) opened the season facing two separate teams for their opening weekend on the road. Weather forced the games to be placed at Forsyth High School in Missouri instead of Harrison, Arkansas. ECC faced Southwest Tennessee CC in the first game of the season falling 11-3.

It might have taken some time for Coach Wallach’s team of mostly freshmen to find their wings in the cold, but not long. ECC came out swinging in their second game and chopped down the North Arkansas Pioneers by a score of 13-6 with some timely hitting.

ECC came back on the second day of the trip to rally and add more W’s in the win column with an 8-6 win over Southwest Tennessee CC and  a 6-3 win over North Arkansas.

The Falcons turned their fortune around by finding their stride in both of the second day matchups to bring home two more victories from their opening weekend of the season.
