The ECC Falcons (18-13) finished their season with a tough loss to Metropolitan Community College Kansas City 25-27, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 8-15 in the Region 16 Championship match held at St. Louis Community College-Meramec in Kirkwood, MO.

The Falcons found themselves trailing early and were down two sets. ECC decided it was time to turn their fortune around and played very well winning the next two sets. Good play offensively came in spurts and the Falcons used their attack to claw back into the match and send it to a fifth deciding set. The fifth set started a little rough and didn’t finish well as ECC ended the season fighting to the end.

Makayla Case, Trinity Clark, Emily McKinney and Brenna Moore all took home post season honors after the conclusion of the match being named 1st Team All-Region 16. The Falcons were led on the court by their sophomores and the trio of sophomores along with Bree Zimmermann ended their careers with a second consecutive winning season, but just came up short on reaching their season goal of winning another region championship.
