The Falcons came into the match with a different line-up and recipe for success as they knocked off NJCAA Region 16 opponent Metropolitan Community College Kansas City by a score of 2-0. Rebekah Lewis was on fire in front of the net as she scored both goals. The first goal and game winner was scored as Lewis received a through ball and she dribbled past an MCCKC defender to her right and hit a shot from a wide angle over the keepers head. Gwen Lottman put another ball to Lewis for the second goal in the 21st minute.

A stellar performance in goal by Gabby Mattli held the Wolves out of the net with some great saves. The defense of Destiny Boehm, Sami Starling and Kayleigh Willman kept winning ball after ball in the back field despite tired legs by the end of the match. A new found line up had ECC playing a sound defensive game in the back and the midfield was improved with controlling the ball more than in past matches. Next up for the Falcons will be another home game against Southwestern Illinois at home.
